I've been flying about 2 months now, lots of sim time, i am completely comfortable
on the sim, all normal orientations, and able to do nose out invert.. on the sim.

When I fly for real i feel like i'm about to go onstage in front of 10000 people with the anxiety crap. But today I finally took my raptor 30 inverted, backwards, just a quick flip was what i intended. But when i got invert, the motor started cutting out, my first though was that I forgot to go to idleup.. i followed the flip through and got right side up before hitting the groundly, not too hard.. but it was close. After looking the bird over nothing apears to be damaged, and I even got in some more flight time before it got dark, I didnt try it again though. I had nearly a full tank of fuel, about 3/4, the only thing I can think is that i got air in the line because i dont have a header tank. Anyone have suggestions on other things I can check that might be the issue? This was my first time having it inverted at all, no rolls or anything, scared to try it again.

Check your clunk line. If it's to long it might be catching on the back of the tank. You should keep the line at least a half inch shorter than the tank so it has room to freely flop around.

I had recently replaced the fuel tank because the one I had had a hole in it.
The clunk line was already assembled and looked good so i left it.
After reading your post I examined it and it did seem a tad too long,
I cut about 1/4 inch off and it clunks around much better.

Now I just have to try it out. My stomach is turning just thinking about it =/

Thanks for the tip.

Hope that solves it. Also remember clunk lines should be swapped out every now and then. Being immersed in fuel seems to make them swell and more prone to cracking.

When they start to break down and turn to gummy worms they sometimes streach ive had them not move freely when this happens

You may also want to invest in a header tank it could save your bird
