Hi guys, i am looking at getting a Mini T soon, however i am quite undecided with regards to the radio. My choices are between the Spectrum DX7 or JR 9x2 with RS77S auto scan fully synthesized receiver. Any good suggestions or comments? All help will be much appreciated!!

DX7 if you can live with its limited features is a great radio, only thing holding me back is I need a 9channel so I need to wait for them to get some more x9303s in stock before I make the 2.4g jump

apart from the 2.4ghz, what difference is there between a jr and the dx7. could u elaborate on the limited functions tt the dx7 lacks and how often do u use them in a heli like the mini titan?

On a mini titan you would never notice the limitations. Mostly upper end functionality, my old scale machine used all 9 channels. If you plan on moving up in the world a nitro machine with a governor and good gyro maxes out the dx7.

Dont get me wrong its a good radio and fine for most people. In my case though I fly 4 servo wing gliders, some aerobatic stuff with multiple elevator and aileron servos etc and its just not enough for me.

i have heard of the new dx7 receivers failing while in the air, any truth in saying that?

I have a DX7 and although only a beginner in helis I find it great, easy to set up and with the AR6100 receiver really easy to fit in a mini-t.
When I flew planes I always used Futaba but liked the idea of 2.4 on helis. I think the Futaba quality seems higher and it will be interesting to see if it lasts as long as my FF7.

The 9x is the better radio but I'd only get it if you were to buy the 2.4ghz module. For the price the spektrum is the better bet especially where small electrics are concerned.

The DX7 and the AR6100 reciever is more than you'll ever need for you Mini-Titan.

Thats what I got on mine, and it rips.
