Hi,

my name is Enrico and I live in ITALY

I ask you a council kindly;
I do not succeed to determine the best setup Phoenix45 for my Heli.

My model:

Mini Titan
DX7, AR6200

Motor NeuMotor 1107/2.5Y (2800 kv)
Esc Phoenix 45
Flight Power 4S 1800
BEC Medusa 6V
Ratio 150T/13T =11.54

The Phoenix parameters are:

( Software 3.01 - Firmware V1.56)

Cutoff 12V
Cutoff Type Soft
Brake Strenght 0%
Brake Delay .6s
Direction Reverse
Brake Ramp Super Slow

Motor Start Low
PWM Rate 13
Throttle response Low
Current Limiting Normal
Motor Timing Standard Advance

Governor Gain Medium
Spool-up Speed Medium

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have made of the tests:
I have measured the turns rotor to various percentages of Throttle.

Throttle Type: Hely: Fixed endpoints

10% 1000 rpm
20% 1700 rpm
30% 2200 rpm
40% 2500 rpm
50% 2700 rpm
60% 2800 rpm
70% 2900 rpm
80% 3000 rpm
90% 3170 rpm
100% 3290 rpm

Throttle Type: Hely: Governor Low

10% 470 rpm
20% 520 rpm
30% 600 rpm
40% 690 rpm
50% 800 rpm
60% 950 rpm
70% 1170 rpm
80% 1540 rpm
90% 2200 rpm
95% 2770 rpm
100% 2770 rpm

Throttle Type: Hely: Governor High

10% 2300 rpm
20% 2570 rpm
30% 2875 rpm
40% 3220 rpm
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I would want to use the function governor and to have three speeds:

Normal: 2600 rpm
IdLe 1: 2800 rpm
IdLe 2: 3100 rpm

How I can make?
It is corrected to use Hely: Governor High with percentages 20%-30%-35%?

Thanks for the availability.
Enrico.

Hi Enrico,

I have never used that ESC, but I did download the manual and read through it. It looks like your setting values are correct but I wonder about the ESC readings you took

How did you measure the headspeed in Governor High? It looks wrong. Normally I would have told you that not having a throttle curve on normal was not a good idea, but with the numbers you are showing a decent throttle curve would be hard to make.

Hi Enrico.

I'm running the Phoenix CC45, HV110A.

If I may recommend that you watch Bob Finless video on a the way to properly setup your governor you'll be surprised of how good are those ESC.

I did learn a lot through the video, and I am now very happy with these ESC

As a picture is worth thousand words....
