I have fabricated a mount for my 600 but i need a few last things, can anyone tell me what the white plastic is called that most mounts have in them?
I know askman uses it in his mounts, is it just white plastic? :) or is there a technical name for it

The hard plastic nylon type stuff? I know what you mean but I too have forgotten :o

I think you're looking for HDPE plastic.

What to you want it to do? They all have different properties. McMaster-Carr sells most and has info on the properties of each.

Ill have to take pics and show you guys I may not need it at all as I am looking into how to dampen and stabalize the system right now.

look at zorbithane.
I have some that I will use, not sure if it really is good yet as I haven't actually used it, but it looks and feels like very impressive stuff.
