Hi all,

I had a small crash the other day with my 450SE and upon inspection of my bird I discovered that the gyro servo had been damaged. From first looks it seemed that the main blade had clipped the servo casing and chipped away some of the casing material. The servo itself was still intact and and the gears are all fine. I tested the servo and when I power everything up the servo arm moves all the way to the right (cw) and stops inline with the servo. (due to the gear which prevents the servo arm from rotating all the way around) I opened up the case to check if all was ok, the gears are fine and nothing appears to be damaged. I powered up the servo without any gears and the servo just keeps spinning. I checked to make sure the gyro was not damaged by using a good servo and all works fine.

So my question is does anybody have any ideas. I mean if the servo is good I will just buy a casing however if the servo is bad then I will just hunt around for a replacement. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
