Do I need to use some type of sealantor gasket between the the motor and the stand off manifold as well as in between the stand off manifold and the exhaust pipe?

I did not use any at first. But I had leaks after the first couple of flights. I removed and cleaned up the surfaces. took a piece of fine emery paper on a flat surface and trued the surfaces, put a thin coat of high temp silicon(copper color) on the surfaces. have not had any leaks since. I have hear others have trued the surfaces with emery paper and not used any sealer and have not had any leaks.
