I'm selling my T-Rex 450 that I've owned and flown since November of 2005. The helicopter was originally a 450XL however in its current setup it is almost the same as an SE V2. Current setup includes:
Medusa Research 028-040-3400 Motor
Phoenix 35 ESC with Deans battery plug
Medusa Research 6V 1.5Amp BEC
3x Spektrum DS285 Servos (cyclic/collective)
Futaba GY401 gyro
JR DS3400G Tail Servo
Gorilla gear and paddles (neon green, easy to see!)
Black CF Frames (old style, not the thicker V2 style)
Align aluminum rotor head with V2 grips and center hub, and Integy aluminum flybar arms (styled like the 450X arms were)
Align metal tail case and blade grips with V2 pitch control setup
Unbranded Hyperion CF blades - minor dings on the leading edge from cutting grass and the like
Spektrum AR6100 receiver
I have also organized and shortened all of the servo wires leaving plenty of room to work in should you wish to add lights, camera system, etc. The helicopter range checks fine with the AR6100 receiver and also worked fine with a Castle Creations Berg7 72mhz receiver with a TechModelProducts baseloaded antenna (if you don't want the Spektrum receiver I'll give you the baseloaded antenna)
I'm not going to lie to you, this helicopter has had some bad crashes. All of the equipment has been changed out over its lifetime as I've upgraded it and experimented with different setups.
I've taken good care of my T-rex and maintained it but as a college student now I simply cannot afford to keep my helicopter flying as much as I'd like.
I will also throw in the small Align case that it came in as well as the full-sized case for carrying the helicopter and a transmitter. The large case has lots of dings and scratches on the outside but inside it's fine. I will also throw in my box of organized spare parts and my Helimax blade balancer.
Please email or PM me if you have any questions. You can email me at michael_apfelzweig@hotmail.com. I would prefer a buyer in the Los Angeles area.
All of this equipment costs around $800-$900 new at least. I've probably put down over $1500 in the time I've owned thsi helicopter. My asking price for all of this is $375.
Probably the only thing to replace if you want that brand-new look would be the big case to carry the helicopter in, but you can get the Flight Leader case from Hobby People (better built than the Align one) for around $80. You're still getting a great deal here!
Everything included is in the attached picture.
