That's mostly so they won't taste 'gamey'. For bores, hanging them will make them taste better but when you shoot the deer with a .300 wsm, they usually don't run and as a result, don't taste 'gamey'. At least all the deer I've shot (none have ever ran) tasted great. Another factor is age and I've always shot em about 2-3 years.

You deer hunters need to hook up with the Pickle, he has a bunch of land and access to even more. He used to bring deer meat with him to a lot f events, we were never hungry for sure.

Unless you can but it at Winn Dixie or Publix I don't think it's for me. If I saw Bambi hanging over an open flame I'd probably cry.

I have 1 hind quarter for the smoker! Let me know if we want a Smorgas(sp) Board Variety of Game?? If you smoke it and add seasonings it's always great Canada Goose is good smoked will add that to the list.

Now i have to Shoot Charlie the lame Goose?? Long story about Him.

Well, I vote for Sunday being that's the only day I can be there ;)

But, I'm sure the populous will rule on the 1st. If I'm not mistaken, Citypickle mentioned cooking the pig on the 1st anyhow.

I would but I spent all my money on Christmas presents. It would've been OK but I found out my check will be delayed a few days so now I won't be able to buy online in time.

I know B and B and Big Al's usually comes around to these events just need to know for sure and maybe get some contact info.

Yeah, I am hoping to see B&B there. They are always good to have around. I bet there should be some parts floating around, I know that I stocked pretty heavy on 600n parts, so if I end up having something that someone needs to get flying consider it theirs!

Yeah, I just picked up a Stratus today. The only things left that I need are a set of 710 v's and 5.1 volt step down. I'm sure there will be v's there but if there's no step down, I'll just have to throw on the old NiMH.

And yes, this event will be rockin! I sure hope it will be 52 deg as I HATE the cold.
