Futaba 601 Gyro for the Logo 500 3D

Do you guys think this gyro is overkill for the 500? I am no huge 3D maniac but I also just don't hover around ;)

Just depends on what YOU want - I fly 401 and 611 on TREX 600s and I enjoy the precise setup, feedback and precision in flight that the 611 offers - but in just get up and go flight without worrying about a bit of tail drift in backwards flight and slight slop in finishing piros then the 401 is great - certainly much more compact than the 611.

No such thing as overkill when it comes to gyro imho. If I were able to run a 611 on a little crap rex I would, lol.

I have a 611 gyro with Futaba 9257 servo in my Rex 450 v.2
Love the combo. The best you could ever get in a 450 heli.

Huh? The 611 only supports the supplied 9256 servo by default no? I am pretty sure it will burn out a 9257. The frame rate on a servo for the 611 is 760uS and a standard digital is 1520uS.

I assume you made a typo?
Or you snuck into diagnostic mode and changed the servo type? ;)

I changed the servo mode in the hidden menu YES. Works perfekt

On a little 450 class heli CSM 720 with 9650 at 6V is the BEST all the way!! The CSM is quite compact but it is very very light.

Well there is a new kid on the block
SpartanRC's DS760 gyro.
So far I am liking it on my 600N and will probably use one on my logo 500.

A 611 is a little much for a 450 but this gyro is SMALL so might be the perfect option. I just need to use it a little more before I decide :)
