Is there a way to test the 3-1 unit that comes with the CP PRO? I crashed mine last night and smelled and odor coming from the heli. It seems that the 3-1 unit is the culprit.... Can you just test that unit? Seems like when i arm the heli, the unit no longer blinks to arm itself?

Are there any other signs of life? Is the receiver driving the servos?

No.... i turn on the transmitter, then the heli... usually it arms itself by flashing red/green to solid green. That does nothing now. I'm going to take the 3-1 unit in to the local hobby shop and see if they can advise.

I just received a Align T-REX 450SA this week and i'm waiting on the DX7 radio (hopefully today)...

I've been pretty frustrated with the E-Flite.... to me very hard to fly... i've been flying RC airplanes both nitro and elec for around 25 years.

But this is a great challenge... just wondering if i should have started out with something different than the CCP pro..?

Yes the CP is a very difficult heli to learn on, the T-Rex is 10 times easier. I must say though, my CP runs very well and flies great, but it has eaten over $500 to get it that way. I have a couple of T-Rex's and either one easily outflies the CP for about the same money(XL).

IMHO.... don't put any more money into the CPP that 3n1 is another $45...... save it for your Trex, and buy a set of CF Blades. But, the CPP being such a challenge will make you a better Trex Pilot.
