Interesting observation on the bearing block captive nuts Bob - I pulled the top bearing block out when I noted the radial play and didn't notice the screws specially loose - the bearing however definitely was not a snap fit hence the goop - I think your vice idea of seating the nuts great idea. I'll certainly be watching this for the future and will be interested to hear your/Will's experience after a few flights !

Bob, great build series again....
One question though: I always put a main shaft in the bearings before tightening the frame bolts. This way I check the smoothness of the shaft rolling while tightening the bolts. It also seems a good way to guarantee the squareness of the frame.
Is there any objection to this method as I do not see you using it?

No and in fact I have shown that SAME thing on both the 600E and 600N. DANG IT you are correct and I missed showing that. Hmmm I might reshoot and add a little section showing that since I missed it.

Thanks for reminding me!

Put my HFX frames in hard twice the past 10 days (from PSU failures) and the frames came through with flying colours - tough stuff these (CF). ANyway always worried a custom bit might break and sure enough the brass spindle on one of the lateral cyclic servos snapped at the top of the servo wheel - didn't have anything like this so drilled out the remnant - put an M3 bolt in and cut down a TREX swash spindled ball link to fit - needed a couple of spacers under the CF top plate bolts & works a treat and only 10 mins to do so thought I'd pass it on in case anyone else gets stuck !

Hi Charles - if only the M3 thread was a bit longer could have used it as a one piece !! - love these frames and they always attract great interest down here in OZ ! PS When you gonna do some for the T600N !!!

Sorry for the delay in getting these done but since this is Will's heli I was waiting on his X9303 to show up here and as you all know they were delayed.

Anyway 2 more up today. Next up is servo bridges and final parts. I am going to try and get them done this week.

Sorry all for the LONG delay... Part 6 is up and this completes the build. Poor Will has been waiting a long time for this heli but has been nice enough to wait as other proprieties came up.

Another great set of videos Bob. I'm thinking about buying this frame for my other stretched trex. Watched the whole thing first so there are no surprises, and i'll watch it again before I build it.
Thanks again! :D

These are GREAT frames Iven - tough as well - I've dinged and repaired them several times and they're stronger than ever - wish Charles would bring out the equivalent (direct swash to servo) version for the 600N !

The frames are awesome! I have the black CF version and they are very stiff.
One thing I managed to do on this frame, as well as my old HFE frame was put the CF servo arms on the INSIDE of the servo wheel to get somewhat straighter links from the aileron and pitch servos to the swash. This is with the S9451 servos. Makes a big difference if you do not want to sand your SX case down and choose to use the extra spacers instead.
