So I am pricing out my remaining needed bits for my RCT-450. My plan is to just get the 401 and be done with it. I have read where there is over heating issues with the 9254. Is this due to setup or product problems? Would it be okay to use this servo with the 401, or is there a better/more reliable servo that I should consider? I will use the always popular HS65's for the cyclic servos, and a couple of Air Thunder batts.

I will use a Futaba fm rx, since I have two of them laying about. Is is better to use PCM or PPM. For the PCM, I can set it up to default to preset settings or the last "seen" information, which would be better? Or should I just use PPM and avoid that lockout thing I have read about? I am the only one around here that flies, so I am not that worried about the interference. Down the road 2.4 is something I should upgrade to, but for now I am fine with FM.

Thanx...

S9254 is a standard size servo and way to big for most 450 sized helis. You want to use the S9650 (older best pick), JR DS3400G (newer top of the line and happy with 6 volts), S9257 (new best, but not 6volt capable).
