Has anyone used the The Great Planes FlyLites?
I see they recomend up to 6v. Do you think I could still use them pluged into the balance plug of my lipo pack? Or should I do as they recomend to plug into a receiver channel?
Are these any good though????

Well I went ahead and bought the GP FlyLites because the Align driver was out of stock at my local hobby shop and the FlyLite comes with a driver in the package for about the same price as Alines combo. To my dicovery the lites are the same as the Align only shorter. So I opted to buy a couple of Align lite stings and they pluged right into the FlyLite driver. I went ahead and used the balance plug from the pack to energize them and all worked flawless. I flew one flight basic hover and found no indication of flicker or radio glitches.
The lights were bright and lasted beyound the flight of the pack. So if in a pinch the driver works from GP Flylites with the Align lights.

Using the rx pack for the glow strings is bright enough for me as it does not make the glow string brighter than the blade LEDs. The align driver works off of 3s lipo directly and they are a LOT brighter when run off the 12v lipo directly but not neccessary IMHO. If you look at the difference between running off of 6v vs 12v though the difference is pretty big. SOmeone showed me the difference locally and I didn't believe them until I saw it :).
