I seem to be getting the feeling that there are two different versions of stratus frames. I found a stratus conversion for a fury that is a couple years old, and am curious as to what the differences are if there is in fact an older version and a newer version?

The newer style Stratus frames has the tail servo positioned so there is no bellcrank used.
Also the 140 deg eCCPM set up is already installed in the frames. There is a Pem nut installed when the bellcrank pivot stud would be positioned when using 140 eCCPM.
That is the two most obivious changes to tell the difference between the old and new Stratus frames.
If the Stratus conversion is a couple years old, that is the old style frames. The new frames were just introduced 3-4 months ago.

They also come with side mounted front frame stiffeners. I just got my new frames yesterday.

There is actually a third set of frames for the Stratus. The forward left hand side frame is trimmed a bit to accomodate a fuselage like the Staysee. The one I have does not have the tail bellcrank I don't know about the 140 deg ccpm though.
