View Full Version : Review - Fireup's DX7 Strap Hook
Finless

I have been using this for a few weeks now and really like it.
Helifreak user Fireup makes this himself and in fact was making this before most the other types came out he just didn't know if he wanted to sell it or not. Well I talked him into it :)
Anyway what I like about this type is it allows easy access to the switch and the hook for the strap is sideways and thus easier to attach the strap and also keeps the hook on the strap out of the way.
PM Helifreak user: fireup
if you want one.
Attached are some picture I took and below is a link to a "stick cam" videos I made using the strap hook which shows how well it balances.

Thanks Bob,
I've made a large batch of these, so there should be enough to go around for all the freaks.
If anyone is interested it's $15 shipped (US/Canada), PM me for PayPal info.
Thanks,

So we can have more of them (Gorilla landing gear, heli stand, cell spy, spektrum 14mz module, KB tail blades, DS760 gyro, etc).
Looking forward for your TRex 500 review.

Got mine yesterday, does the job and provides easy access to the on/off switch. Not much else to say. :)

Got mine today in the mail!
Thanks for the fast shipment Fireup! This mod is not only elegant - it just blends in perfectly with the design of the DX7- but also the best balancing solution I have seen so far.
Definitely worth the money!

I got mine a few days ago.
Balances perfectly, looks good, and doesn't block the switch.
Only thing I was thinking of was maybe I'll get out my dremel with a buffing attachment and polish it to a mirror finish.
Awesome!

Is 'Fireup' still selling the DX7 Strap Hook? I'm PM'd him twice, no response. I've looked everywhere online and no one has any type of strap hook in stock.
I might have to bite the bullet and get into the bidding wars on Ebay and pay $20 to $25 for one plus whatever shipping is added.

Meh, I just got mine like 2 weeks ago, and got it right away.
I'm guessing he's not around or something. I'm sure you'll get a reply...

got mine, thanks fireup. my dx7 is perfectly balanced now, in a very natural and comfortable position. It's one of those things that once you try it, there ain't no going back.
