Running Windows Vista Ultimate, the 1.03 disk install works great, but when I try to run the update to 1.04i, I get the error that it failed because it couldn't find OpenAL32.dll. I went and found OpenAl32.dll on the web and installed it, now I get a bunch of value and string errors.
I just got the program yesterday and installed it on my old computer, which is running Vista Home Premium, where it ran flawlessly, but today I got a new computer ( Have to send the old one back, Dell replacement, long story) and it's Got Vista Ultimate.
This is aggravating to say the least!
Any ideas?

Drop support@phoenix-sim.com a line, they're very quick to answer (<2-3hrs) though they may have gone for the weekend now!

Yep, I did. Thought I might pick the brains of the Freaks a bit too though.
Aggravatingly, The 1.03 version I DID get to install will not let me change display settings. As soon as I try to make it go full screen, it crashes. Also, there are no settings for the resolution...the box is empty.

OK, Update for anyone checking this...
On a whim I downloaded the 1.04i update again from Phoenix, I completely removed the old directories and all traces of the software from my registry and repeated the 1.03.c install. It still gave me the issue about crashing when saving the video settings.
I went ahead and installed the newly-downloaded 1.04.i installer and it installed fine. Then I ran the program and am now able to change any settings I want whie the program remains stable.
The ONLY difference I can see for this is that the first 1.04.i patch I used was on an external hard drive (I had transferred it from my old computer) and it failed. The newly-downloaded file was on the C: drive and it installed fine.
FYI, Phoenix DID get back to me on this, probably within a half-hour of me initiating a request for help (and about 6:15 P.M. UK time!). Great service thus far, even though I managed to fix it myself. I'm impressed with both the sim (Very realistic and the graphics are MUCH better than G3.5) and with the service.
