Well I should be receiving mine in the batch due in a few weeks. I have all the radio components allready; 8717s, 8900G, 921 receiver. CC 85HV, Neu 1915/1Y.
Not really sure if Evolite 5350 5S-2P will have enough juice, but I am looking for a longer run time then 4-5 minutes. It seems all the world's supply of 1912/1Y are sold . I just need to figure out which pinion to run, 18 looks good on paper. So maybe some of you who are currently building can give some feedback on setup as I will be several weeks behind, but no hurry.

FLIGHTPOWER EVOLITE-53505S 18.5V 17C 90.95A CONTINUOUS, 28C 149.8A BURSTS: DIMENSIONS: 143.3MM/45.2MM/49.1MM..... I would think this would be well within limits.

1180 grams. A bit on the heavy side but would probably be ok if you use a BEC tied into your main pack and run a light weight motor such as a Actro 24-4 350grams. The NEU 1915/1Y I think weighs 411grams. Kontronics Tango 45-06 is 300grams and makes good power and is nice, but not like the Actro or NEU.

NEU 1915/1Y 14 or 15 pinion
Actro 24-4 18 or 19 pinion

Just my .02

Shawn will be on later and can give more insight than me and maybe better suggestions. ;)

I see your in Dallas.... I live in Tyler and have a 6003D.

So I understand this you will run (2) 5S2P 5S lipos in series correct?

If so and you are dealing with a 10S setup you will want 16 tooth to get you in a nice 3D headspeed range.

A 16tooth will get you this.

RPM at low load: 2609 at 38 volt RPM at medium load: 2438 at 34,4 volt RPM at full load: 2266 at 33 volt

And oh obviously if you are not needing a big HS and looking for just sport flying and longer times etc, than pick yourself up a 15 tooth as well. Good to have a few pinions to try for sure to see what you like.

Thanks for the suggestionds on pinions. I run my TREX 600 with a Neu 1515/2.5D/F/H on an 11 tooth, have not tached it but just run 100%. So I will be looking for similar headspeed. I will try the HV 85 on the TREX first to see how well Gov mode works.
