I am currently finishing my Stratus with Tempest FAI head. The tail pushrod appears to be about 0.20 inches too short. I have the tail rotor mounted on the right side of the boom but I believe thats how the FAI version in meant to be.

Has anyone else seen this? I am wondering if I am doing something wrong. Looks like I might need to build a new pushrod.

Thanks

sounds like someone (MA) forgot to check the length of the pushrod, the closed tail pushrod was shorter by the same amount. You can extend the threaded portion, or you can hold both ends a little shallower in the CF tube. If you JB welded the ends in already, soak in denatured alcohol for a few hours and it will melt the glue.

Thanks for the info Wayne. I have slow CA'd the end so I couldn't pull it out. Will the alcohol work on CA also?

Acetone will work to loosen CA or finger nail polish remover.
Nitro glow fuel also works well to loosen CA,
