View Full Version : can anybody fly the Spark?

I can fly any heli in phoenix, except the Spark, on which I can't control the tail at all, and which is also quite difficult to hover (even in hover training mode without yaw control).
What a pain.
My biggest worry is that it's an accurate model of some Heli I might be about to buy...
I asked before but got no answer, so I'll ask here again:
- is there a Heli model in Phoenix that represents a Honeybee FP or equivalent?
- is there a heli model that represents a Blade CPP?
- what helis is the Spark like?
Thanks,
Jim

Sure if you've learned on a blade cpp, the spark is a breeze to fly, it has the same loose tail and twitchy hovering as any of the tail motered little bastards.
You can tell I don't have the bcpp anymore, but flyin the spark brings back nightmares.

whew, glad I didn't order one of those...
i'm going to try to fly it, for skillz sake, unless I get so frustrated I bag the sport.
I'm very happy flying the 450 sport in the sim... :-)
Looking forward to the first spot-on blade 400 model... probably will buy the blade 400 before that happens.
until then, practice, practice, practice...
thanks much.

I think I saw you on the ever-up server last night you are doing good. The spark is a bit of a pain, what you are getting is a rate mode gyro and low head speed.

Thanks, Raven.... I was just farting around... you were kicking some butt, though... I for SURE wasn't flying the Spark. I'm hoping my next heli, HB FP, doesn't fly as bad as the Spark model.
I've been trying to practice (disciplined) hover with different helis, some fast forward flight and sweeping turns & figure 8s, usually with full collective to make it fun... it's hard to keep fast turns a constant altitude.
But after seeing you rock it on the server, I went back to my home field and started on my tick-tocks using the Knight 50 and Trex 600e.
Didn't get too far...
My level of 3D skill at this point is: "go wild, get into trouble, save it..." I think that's not bad practice for something, I'm sure... On the bright side, many of my saves are nose-in... :-)
Happy flying.

Man I can hover the spark easier then I can the big .50 bird
