i know i sean a post on this...i put several flights on this and tonight it was a lil late as i set it on the ground i sean the cap apear to be glowing...it has not affected my radio but i know i sean a post on how to fix it so there is none...please help... my shielding is atleast half inch away from the small prong that goes into the wire...wonder if the black hard plastic boot kit that mah is offering is a good choice?..any help would be great
If you're worried about it you could cut the shielding back a little bit more, or seal the end of the shield wires with a few coats clear nail polish(let it dry all the way). It sounds strange but when I started getting into high voltage (another hobby) it was a good solution to corona glow. The glow you are describing sounds like corona/brush discharge glow which robs some power from your ignition system.
Another alternative is to find a TV repair shop and see if he'll sell you some HV dope that they use around the HV leads on TV's. Take the heli with maybe, they might be interested in it :D

I seal the end of the boot/shield gap with red RTV, works great!

Make sure the spring is snapped securely over the end of the plug. It's kind of hard to feel, as its in the plug cap, but if it is only touching the plug it could be arching and causing the cap to glow as you described.

Bigrc move the coil to help the stretch on the coil.. Not sure but I think that works.
