An advice to disable the BEC in the CC80 and others with BEC.
Having burned out my CC HV85 when the motor disintegrated I replaced it with a CC80 - encouraged by the bold print on the back of the flyer that no programming was necessary (and also I thought I understood the CC's) I did just that and just set up the endpoints.
I've had two unwanted spool ups since when I've switched the Rx off while the main battery was connected (yes I know that's extremely naughty :whip but had no probs doing that with the HV85)- anyway couldn't understand why the thing started spooling up and had to grab the rotor and strip the main gear to prevent carnage.
Decided to read the leaflet :arggg: and find that is HAS a BEC - so even though I thought the Rx was off and not powering the ESC it was in fact powering itself by its built in BEC - easy solution and there in big type in the instructions is to cut the red lead from the ESC to the receiver.
