Figured I'd toss in an update, if for no other reason than to move this thread back to the top where it's easier to find. :YeaBaby:

Basically, I have nothing to update, LOL. When I left off last, I had dorked up a blade and was planning on going through the head and centering everything. I did that, but I went a little too far one way. Before, I had insane amounts of negative pitch, but very little positive. Now I have just the opposite problem, mad positive pitch and no negative and I really don't know why. Pretty much I need to quit overanalyzing things and just go halfway back to where I started, LOL. Shortly after my last post, which was a long time ago, the weather got nice and I got way too busy flying to work on the thing, so it's still sitting in the cabinet with a dorked up blade and a head that needs recentered. I also got sidetracked on several plank projects. Now that it's getting almost winter again, I'll hopefully be getting back to working on this thing. It's been so long since I fooled with it though, I have a feeling I'll be spending plenty of time translating Chinglish all over to learn how to work with the blasted knobs on that tx. :rolling

I'm still on square 2 myself. I've got it 99% ready to go, but it's been put on the back burner for a long time. I figure I can get the replacement boom someday and try out the wood blades I got for it. I also stockpiled parts like mad because they were selling out all stock at one of the stores. I've also been working on lots of other projects so I would love to get back to this one. Thanks for the reminder!

Well after well over 1000 flights on my micro venom the tx finally started to malfunction it would start glitching and made me crash. Instead of buying a new transmitter I just put the heli on my DX7. I said I was never going seperates because the I figured the extra weight would slow it down and I was right the heli is now 20g heavier and its definitly slower than before but atleast the tail holds a little better and I now have a timer.
Heres a vid of the full seperates.

Nice work Manuel. Did you ever end up using that B/L tail motor that you found? Which gyro are you using on it?

No I have not gone brushless on the tail but will try a gws dd tail on it. I am using the RC-Tek gyro looks just like a 401 only half the height

I'm still thinking of doing the mod myself. I have 4 of those CC10's sitting around and I could probably get it stuffed under the lid, but it'll end up weighing a lot more than your's. Hopefully it'll still fly ok.

What was the name of that hobby shop near you? I'm just going to bite the bullet and order a few booms so I can actually get my heli flying again. It worked great the last time it was up and running. The weather is finally starting to get nice enough to fly on a regular basis now. :)

the one in escondido is hobbytown but as long as you get the tail boom for the venom micro you should get the right one because if you get the walkera 52 one we are getting the walkera 52#1 which is a little bigger.
