I don't know if it's overkill or not but since I'm out of the air(only 3 days in) killed both of the sets of stock blades so I put an order in to pick up a 2 sets of Xtreme rotor blades for my v3. I've heard these things are durable but how much so? stock blades were very quick to break I'd like these to last much more than 2-3 batteries per blade. I also picked up the upgrade swashplate since mine has needed to be adjusted erverytime it comes down hard since I had a big crash on the 2nd day of flying the heli

I have flown my lama full speed into the side of my truck, not a scratch on the Xtreme blades. I have crashed into my Bowflex in my basement obstacle course, not a scratch on the Xtreme blades. I have piled into my gravel driveway flying full speed sideways, not a scratch on the Xtreme blades. I have broken every body piece except the frame, not a scratch on the Xtreme blades. In fact, I now have the full Xtreme sport conversion on my Lama V3 and it is very durable now. I am just waiting for the motors to die, then I'll get the Xtreme motors. You will not be disappointed in your purchase, I promise...

You will probably regret the swash. The ball placement is a bit different, so you'll have to tweak your linkage lengths. Most people I have seen buy the cnc upgrades have had a difficult if not impossible time getting it to fly right. Part of it is these little coaxes are sensitive to vibration and the plastic absorbs the vibration, the cnc does not. The only truly great cnc upgrade bit is the inner shaft. The downside to the upgrade inner shaft is it allows the flybar to drop enough to hit the lower blades in an abrupt direction change. This of course causes the heli to fall to the ground. I use an inner shaft for a cx2, which required a little bit of modification but the flybar does not drop low enough, so I never have bladestrikes. The other option is to get the Esky upgrade inner shaft and somehow limit the flybar travel enough to prevent bladestrike.

Otherwise, the Lama flies best with everything stock except cnc inner shaft and Xtreme blades...

The reason I got the swash is that the stock swash seems to have come apart so it falls down to a point where the heli is not stable and the aileron and elevator controls to almost nothing to move the bird. My next step as I wait is to build myself a new tail for it. I suppose that if I don't end up needing the second full set of blades that I can just sell them off sometime in the future.

My stock swash started to come apart. I put a couple of drops of CA and it has not budged since.

Where did you put the glue? I just tried that today with the swash on my robins and it stopped it from spinning completely.

an update for you guys the parts came. I've only installed the blades so far since the swash has been working fine. it performs much better now...I definitely recommend it to anyone who has a Lama or is considering buying one.

With the swash apart, you just put a drop or two between the parts that mate together. You have to be careful, or ca could get in the bearing and freeze it up. But then you have just learned that unfortunately...
