I have finally gotten my Pro in the air this past weekend with some sucess. Went thru 2 batteries with only 3 minor mishaps. I decided to fly again tonite and tried to get it in the air but the motor would'nt turn the main blades. If I turn the big gear with power on the motor it will start up and turn ok, but I don't have enough power to lift off. Does this sound like my main motor is shot? I had lots of tail motor issues, but never any trouble with the main motor.....

Verify:
1. that the main shaft is not bent
2. main rotors & head is balanced
3. blades are tracking properly
4. battery voltage output is still good
5. gear mesh between the pinion and main gear is not tight

I removed the motor from the frame and tried to start it and it seems to bind with absolutely no load on it. It will turn if I give it a little help, but not by itself. Heading to my LHS tonite for a new one. Any suggetions which one to go with? Being a newbie and just hovering for now, should I go with something other than the standard 9 tooth pinion?
