Picked up my NEW Trex nitro pro two days ago.:YeaBaby: This machine is a real piece of work!!!! I hope it flies as well as it's going together. It sure ain't a raptor by a long shot!!!!!! Can't wait to get it in the air, of course I've been having with-draw since I totalled the Raptor.:arggg: Still waiting on a new receiver and a muffler. Should have it on Wednesday. I got a Solid G gyro and a ATG gov for it. Both new to me. Need some info on head speed for this machine. I"m doing 3d-mild. Whats a good speed to start at?

Your gonna love the 600N, as for headspeed 2000 should be a great start:cool:
And oh yes it flies as good as it looks if not better :YeaBaby:

Just keep her light, and she will fly awesome. I say keep it light because I added 2mm frames, frame stiffners(no no gforce ones, or base plate), metal see saw, mixing levers, and a metal tail arm thingy, and I feel a slightly less performance.

The only thing I'm going to have that is heavy on the machine is a 2700mah NiMh battery. No regulator. Only upgrades I did to it were the frame braces. I might have change to a Lipo in the future, I have enough sunk into it right now.

Anybody running Radix 600 on the Trex, worth the money or not?

I highly recommend a regulated system on any helicopter. Trust me, the initial cost is cheaper than a crash down the road.

I run at 1950, 2050. I haven't tried Radix yet as I prefer VBlades, but I have ordered a set of Radix for comparison.

Light is definitely good, she's lighter than my Raptor 50. I have some 2mm frames, but I'll add those when I need them.

Ok

I have just weighed both my raptor 50 titan and my trex600 , as the raptor felt lighter.

Trex 600n pro 3459 grams
Raptor titan 50 3440 grams

both helis are ready to fly, but with empty tanks my raptor is 19 grams lighter than my trex both have same bat, gyro + tail servo, engine and radio , have diff muffler, blades, servos ( other 4)

I doubt that 19 grams would be noticeable..

"I highly recommend a regulated system on any helicopter. Trust me,"

Guess I'm still old school, I've been running a standard 4.8v nicad packs for the last 10 years with tremendous success. I'll have to look into lipos and a regulator. What size of lipo pack? Either that or a 6 volt nicad.I'm running "3" 9292's, 9254 on tail, and a JRDS821 on throttle. Probably should use a different one on the throttle.

Thanks for the input!
