Hi all

Just wanted to say that last weekend I maidened my Mini-Titan !!!! And to say a big thanks to everyone here for helping with my newbie questions but especially to Finless for his incredibly useful videos!

After some cufuffle with having the aileron servos move the swash the wrong way, I fixed that and had rechecked my pitch curves, eCCPM swash interactions, and cyclic pitch. I woke at 7 Saturday morning and had to wait until the neighbours started mowing their lawn before I thought I could get it up in the garden. A few hops later and quite a bit of trim (right and forward) and I got it up to 4 ft or so in the garden. Checked the tracking and it was quite badly out ~2 cm between the blade tips. I set her down to tweak one of the top links to the blade grips but one turn made the low blade the higher one so it was still out. So I used the next links down (the long ones from the flybar mixer arms down to the swash) to try and correct. I got it closer but its still not perfect.

Question. Apart from vibration what are the symptoms associated with poor tracking?

It's an amazing feeling, that first flight....

Cheers all, and thanks again for all the help.

Are you running the stock TT woodies or did you fit different blades?

I fitted a pair of Align 325 Pro woodies with the TT MT blade grip spacers.

Did it come with the new or old blade grips?

New on left.

New ones. I have the metal mixing levers here to put on as I hear they solve some of the MT tracking problems but I may order some other metal head components (rotor hub, seesaw hub, flybar control arms, flybar control levers and washout block) before I fit them.

Anyone know if the plastic blade grips & feathering shaft are compatible with the metal rotor hub?

Cheers

Hello, Bunter.

I'm using default plastic blade grips and feathering shaft with
TT red main rotor hub. You can use it mixed.^^

And you need not to buy another head dampers.
In the metal rotor hub pack, there are two dampers inside the hub.

But...by only changing the rotor hub, the 'tracking problems' will cannot be
corrected..After changing the hub, problems still do exist...

IMO, the hub and rotor grips need to be changed together.
I think the reason of tracking stuff is not the problems of hub itself.

Good luck.
