Hi

When you guys are securing the tailboom, with a screw.
Do you then use a screw with "self-tapping-screw" (like for wood/plastic) or a screw with normale thread (for metal)?

I think I should secure my tail before trying the Ripper:YeaBaby:

The instructions that were with the original 1001 XL kit. Stated drilling a small pilot hole about mid ways of the boom clamp. Thru the boom clamp and tail boom. Then insert a small sheet metal type screw. Making sure it does not protrude enough inside the boom to contact the torque tube.

Have not used a screw in the boom clamp in many years. Have used slow CA or Silicone inside the boom clamps. Boom is not going to move using either one of those.

The Razor kits (from MA) have a nylon M3x8 screw that goes into the tail boom through a PEM on the tailbox as well as through the front of the boom through a PEM on the boom mounting block on the frame.
