I've been putting together a logo 500 3d and have a question
about the fly bar. For the ball on the flybar cage, the instructions
show flybar cage - ball - washer - bolt. When I put it on this
way the collar on the ball gets pushed into the flybar cage as
the bolt ends up poking through the back side of the cage. If
I put the wash before the ball, this does not happen - i.e. the
asher stops the collar on the ball from pushing into the plastic and the bolt is
the right length. Also, the other balls don't have
washes between the bolt and the wash stops one from removing
the link... Is this perhaps an error in the instructions?
how have others put this together? I guess I could just
add an extra washer to stop the ball going into the flybar
cage.

thanks

It very well may be an error.

The maunal definitely shows the washer under the bolt head rather the ball and the cage - if the protrusion on the ball is being forced into the flybar plastic I'd say you're tightening up the M2 bolt too tightly - the M2 washer also stops the plastic elbow ball link from going over the top of the M2 bolt pan head - I thought this was a safety feature.

Bob's LOGO 14 build video shows doing it same way as per manual.

But all in all I think it makes MORE sense to assemble it the way you suggest ie cage - washer - ball - washer - bolt ! This might also prevent protrusion of the M2 bolt through the flybar cage which needs Dremeling down otherwise.

I'm honestly beggining to think it's an error. I can slip the link over the washer on my kit and didn't understand why the washer was in the location Mikado suggests. I think I will change this to keep the screw from driving in so fare. Just makes since.
