Help,
I've Used ThreadLock
I've added a lock washer.

I installed my new .50 Hyper, and a Mavrik cnc fan. and the fan just will not stay down on the engine every time i go to start it it just spins off and jams the clutch in to the bell
:bomb: :bawl :bawl

You have to hold the crankshaft when installing/tightening the fan and also hold the crankshaft when tightening the nut. Holding the fan and tightening the nut is a no-no.

I lock the crank from the back with the little white tool.
and install the fan and nut. i'll try again. (paying more attention to that)

Thanks for the lightning responce

Do this and you wont have any more fan problems.

Clean the threads of all old locktite.

Get two spare clutch bolts and install them so that about half the bolt is sticking out of the fan.

Put blue locktite on the threads and install the fan, use the crank lock tool and put a screw driver between the bolts and snug (i said snug, not gorilla) it down. Now locktite the shaft and install it with a socket wrench, again nice and snug, don't break anything.

Now (here comes the important part) let it dry over night so the locktite fully cures.

Or get or make a fan tool as shown.

Did you use thread lock on the fan threads or just the nut?
Mine backed off the first day I started it up from only having locktite on the nut.
I took it all apart, cleaned the engine crank threads and fan threads, and sprayed it all down with pyroil non-clorinated brake cleaner. Wipe clean with paper towel, apply locktite to crankshaft threads and install fan.

On mine, the fan backed off and pushed the crankshaft into the rear of the engine. So I took the engine apart and cleaned it with brake cleaner and nitro.
If you tried to start your motor and it was locked up, I'd check the crank case for metal before you start it.

This is exacly what you need to do. I had problems with it backing out also till I used this method. Don't forget to let the locktite cure and do not use anything to hold the piston/crankshaft in place other than the white plastic crank locking tool, you just open the back plate and it fits perfect, no risk of damaging the piston.
