firstly can you get 2 3700mah 3s1p fp batt's to fit the new CF frame, and does the canopy fit or not, and if the canopy doesn't fit which one will. does the trex 600 work, or a raptor or somthink else.its just i want to put on about a 1400kv motor and use 520mm main blades just a bit more aggresive set up you no ?

My guess would be YES... I get two 2300 5S packs in mine - check my pictures in the photo thread.
One on the slanted battery tray, one inside. They measure
45mm wide, 25mm 'tall', about 140mm long.
The FPs are (I think) 47MM/22.1MM/152MM.
For the one that would go 'inside' width will be snug but it should just go - although you will not be able to run any wires along the bottom of the front side frames (inside) as the could cause issues. Length and height will be no problem for that one.
The one on the top slanted tray I think will be just fine.. width and 'height' are certainly OK. Length should be fine too... O have a bunch of connections at the front of where my packs are and have no issues.

Send me two packs and I will test them for you. :)
I haven't fit packs and canopy, but I have FP EVO 3300s, EVOlite 4250s and Hextronics 3200s to play with.

Terry - let us know how you like the HXT3200s.
I happen to also have a set of FP3300s and FP Evolite 4250s... and I was thinking of getting a set of the HXTs as my third set. Can't beat the price of them.
Thanks - Brent

I test flew the heli today and used the HXTs. They work.
For how long will be the real question. And I was looking, they are the 7F lot that seems to be giving some people some problems, but not everyone. We willsee. But you can't beat the price. And with the CF frame, the canopy will fit with them.

Was wondering if anyone have tried 2x 3200 Polyquest 30C, I thinking about it but it might be on the heavy side ? Total weight is 550 gram which much heavier than my current setups.

I am using the Flight Power 3300s and the FP Evolite 4250s. I can't remember the weight or dimensions of those off of the top of my head... but you can find that at readyheli.com.
They are a little heavy, and I have to stack them one on top of the other to get them in.

Ok thanks true could have checked your packs on readheli. The evolight weight is above 600 gram, but you have good capacity. On the other hand the 30C can be charged at 3C, means really quick charging, also I guess they hold their voltage better than evolight. This is tricky, not sure if I should go for high C rating or high capacity.

both that I use seem to be OK in delivering ample power to a 1100kv motor.
The motor I have is the upgrade motor from readyheli. I have heard it is simular to the Century 600+... just not quite as good .
Regardless... both batt types drive this heli well. I actually plan on converting to the stock motor... as I can't fly anything close to 3D, and I want the extended flight time - but I had a good 3D pilot run the 4250s with the 1100kv motor last weekend... and the heli was awesome.... no bogging... and all the 3D tricks he could throw at it.
I would not charge at 3C... even if they say you can (and FP says you can also charge the Evolites @ a higher C rating... I think it is 2C). It is believed that charging @ a higher C value... decreases the batt's life. Whether that is true or false... I am going to stick to 1C or less... these things are to fragile and expensive to chance it.
How much are the Polyquest batts (I need another set)? Which motor are you running? How are you flying it?

This thread seems to have been hijacked by stuff that does not help jackp1... I tried to offer my advice based on what I know but it seems to have become a battery discussion that has no relevance to jackp1.
CAN WE TRY TO KEEP THREADS ON TRACK? This is one of my gripes with Helifreak... If you want to discuss something else then open a new thread!
Back to jackp1s question... two FP3700s in a Gaui CF frame.. any experience?

I guess I could reply to UKgroucho in a new thread... but it wouldn't make much sense with out the above post to reference it against... would it?
RCG may just have more Hurricane pilots than HF does... but the Hurricane discussion is pretty much useless with a 137 page - single thread to go through. 137 pages of everything under the sun Hurri related (good stuff to boot)... now that's highjacking a thread.
RR's Hurricane section is pretty much dormiant... maybe 1 or the occasional 2 posts a day... boring.
The strength that HF has... is that there is real discussion... based on the thoughts, questions, and ideas AS they come up. Even if the discussion/ question does not happen to be in a specific thread because someone is contributing to the discussion ... I am not going to ignore the discussion aspect just because it happens to be mixed in with other topic matter. The open discussion is what makes the Hurricane section on HF... the BEST place on the Net for us to... well..... have discussions on our heli.
I am not trying to be rude UKgroucho (it took me a long time to decide if I wanted to post this)... and I do hear and respect what you stated (truly)... but I happen to disagree that this thread was highjacked (except for what I just posted)... it was contributed to by pilots with something to say... or a question.
By coming down on top of that... has a real possibility of getting the HF Hurri section to where it resembles RR... not much discussion going on at all.

I got just information from someone who used the Polyquest 3200 30C, he got 4.5 mns with Z30, but I guess this is hard 3D. He liked the lipos.
I always charging my high quality lipos with 2C on the field, and thats during a long period of time, no problems so far (always with balancers). I stop at 95% and this allows me to fly non-stop.
I am using Hyperion 3700 5s 25C, Older Enerland 3200 20C with Z30A. Now I have ordered some Polyquest 3200 30C.
I understood that the higher the rating is the better lipos can handle high charging current.

Sorry, Actually I posted in wrong place from begining. Will create new thread right now.

bstock.. keeping this brief to avoid perpetuating the problem (and becoming part of it ) :)
Discussion .. YES if it is in context (this is not).
Additional questions NO NO NO.. OPEN ANOTHER THREAD. You point out the issue with RCG and the other place.. everything in one thread is bad. More threads with specific context is easier for all to navigate.
I still feel sorry for the original poster who has had few 'in context' responses even though we're on page two...

That is life on the forums. The same thing happens in real life when people are talking.
Relax, have a beer. :)

i just thought id give my view, since i started the thread in the first place. to say it got of subject would be an understatment, but its fine by me as its giving me a lot of info on heli which i probably would have been asking anyway. the only problem is i keep getting all the emails every time someone adds to it ha keep it up beleive me it's better than getting no responce thanks guy's or gal's
