Is there a big diff in flight time between the FP 25c 6s3700mah and the 6s5000mah packs? I want to run my Zpower Z30-1100kv motor and 550 baldes. I already have a couple 5000mah packs but they feel pretty heavy compared to my 3200mah packs that gave me 4.5 min flight times but with 500mm blades. Should I just stick with the 5000mah packs or will the 3700's be better because of the weight saving's?

3700s will not last with 550s, the amp pulls are to consitently heavy for the 3700 cells to have a long cycle life. If you want to simply hover about, very mild sport flying than fine 3700s should do you. Under intense loads with a solid setup the 3700s will lose punch. I was flying 3700 cells 3:30 and landing, I fly the 5000s 4:45 than land, this obeys under 80% mah rule.

I'm getting 4min 20sec from spool up on my 6s 3700mah packs with a zpower 30a and 21t pinion. HS governed to 2200rpm with MS 550 blades. I think it's enough power for me at this point. Put back 2800mah at the end of the flight. I don't fly "hard" 3D with full negativ / positive pitch and lots of cyclic all the time buth rater soft/smooth 3d and "hard" sportsflying.
I would recommend 5000mah packs with 550 blades. It would hold voltage better and you wil get longer flighttimes. I'm going to switch to 5000packs during this winter.
i get 5 mins with my 5000 FP Evo25 packs, i wouldnt use anything else. this heli is so light, the extra few hundred grams wont matter

Ok then I will stick with the 5000mah packs. Thanks for the input.

Ray i ran the Zmotor for months on the 3700 evo packs i was also using 560 mm Rototech blades 14-14+ spinning 2300 for HS i could get 4 minutes of flight time if i went down to 2100 i could get 5 to 51/2 minutes n/p that is also flying hard 3d to this day the packs are still working great.Imo the Evo 3700 is one of the best cells made for dependability and performance .I just started flying Evo lites 5350 6s packs and so far they are out performing any thing i have touched to date
The 5000 are way to heavy and performance suffers IMO and you dont really get any more flight time carrying around the extra weight..

Bobby, thanks for the input. No I didn't go to the NEAT fair....working to many hours. The only reason I would rather use the 3700's over the 5000mah cells is because I can also use the 3700's in my boats, the 5000's are just too big to fit my boat applications. I am really no 3D maniac so I don't really think I need the 5000's, but I also don't want them to get beat up to bad using the 550mm blades and the Z30 motor.
Bobby are you saying that there is a performance diff between the Evo 3700's and the Evo Lite 5350's?

Yes there is a huge performance differance.. The LITES are very strong....
Ray i even ran a CC45HV in my 500 and L10 wiht the z motors wiht no isssues if i had to guess youre boat would probably abuse the packs more then youre Heli
I have done a TON of motor and batttery testing over the last few months i have been working on duration setups wiht alot of power and i have my current 500 flybarless up ot 6 minutes flying it Hard 3d.
Go wiht the 6s 3700 25c cells you wont be dissapointed wiht youre current setup

Yes the boats do Abuse the cells, I am running over 100 amps in all my boat setups and my latest will be close to 200amps peak. Since I already have a couple 5000mah packs I will try a 3700 and see how well it does. I can always sell it if I don't like it ;)

Wow that is some serious amp draw you would definately like the 30c 4500 in youre boat it is alittle lighter then the 5000 and will produce some serious current on demand
