The dampening on my 3Dx is pretty soft and worse yet, the o-rings are falling out in flight. what are people doing to make the dampening stiffer? I think I might just drop a Blade CP head on it. Thoughts?

Taken from my X-3D tips page (http://dhrc.rchomepage.com/MSHornet/tips.htm), which is quite old now.

Stiffen up the rubber O-rings (head bushing/suspension). Wrap exactly 2 turns thin tape around the head fitting that the O-rings sit around (E074). This reduces the head and blade slop and makes it more difficult to have a boom strike when inverted or hard maneuvering, particularly if your rotor rpm drops very low. Remember to secure the bottom O-ring with a small amount of CA glue on small screw driver.

Personally I've switched over to modified $10 ali Venom/Walkera 22E-Z heads (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?p=5603174#post5603174). Holds up better in a crash.
