If you are arriving thursday night, please PM me, and I will give you a phone number to get in contact with a club member that is staying there in his RV with a key, because the gate will be locked.
Thanks Guys

Weather looks gloomy in SD. Hope it doesn't rain...WET T-SHIRTS!
What are you guys drinking? Heineken? Jack? Old English 800? I'll stop by the liquor store.:cheers
Finless,
Do you want me to get you some cigs?:noteworthy
Torkboy,
What vendors will be selling stuff? Also, will the porta-potties have a$$ gaskets and ample toilet paper? :YeaBaby: Finally, should we bring our own chairs?

New Castle my friend! SD's usually gloomy at random times, so it'll probably blow over by Friday (I hope!!!!). There's always surfing not far away!

There is enough porta johns with ample supply of TP(not thunder power :rolling)
I believe MTA will be there, possibly Dicount Hobbies( and I would be working the booth with justin), and various other vendors that im not sure of at this time.
Kevin-

Hey guys... Kinda new to Helifreaks, but I'm about 4hrs north of Fallbrook and will be headed down for Friday/Saturday. Weather has been a little gloomy up here in Lompoc. Hope it is going to be better down there tomorrow and Saturday. Only my second time to a Fun Fly. Looking forward to it!

The weather is currently overcast, but at least it is not dry and hot. Things should be improving a little by tomorrow with Saturday looking good. Forecast is 70 degrees and somewhat clear.
I'm not even sure we will need a sun shade, but we shall see.
Regards,
Scott

Grey days are bad for sunburn too Scott. I'm bringing shade regardless of the weather.
Hope you guys have a great weekend. Can't wait to start working down south next year. Seems most the jobs i am looking at will be in the Santa clara San Jose area tho. Bit of a drive to see you punks.

That is a good point... Would it be worth while to bring a canopy like this or is there good cover already at the field? Would it be allowed to set up a canopy near the flight line? Would a portable table be a good thing to bring or would there be tables available for setup etc?
Sorry for the dumb questions, but only been to a funfly one other time and I'm not familiar with this field.

Zephan, bring the Ez-Up along, but only if the blonde comes with it. :) (and I don't mean the pooch)
There is a shade structure there, but you can bring a canopy and set it up as well. I'll be bringing mine. Don't forget a chair & table too.
FWIW: Weather is getting pretty nice right now. Sun is coming out here on the coast and it appears to be clearing to the NE where the field is as well.

Skiddz...
I'd bring the blonde, but I got ripped off! She wasn't in the box with the canopy when I bought it! :(
I just hope I don't bring the dang wind that we've been getting up here for the past month down there with me.

Jason, Ray.
FUN event even though I didn't get jack in the raffle... I think another one in July would be a good idea. :)

I second Skiddz comments except for the raffle. I was only able to attend for a few hours but seeing Curtis, Alan, Both Burts, Bobbie and everyone else was incredible for me. I never knew they would be that friendly. The flights by Justin and Ray around 10-10:30am were awe inspiring as always. Wish i could have stayed longer. I like Curtis's new Rage heli but after having 2 450's i will go bigger next time.
Again, Great jobs guys and can't wait for the next one.
Notice how he didn't include skiddz in that list of friendly ppl !! Skiddz is a jerk :P

I got my leg "tatted"! I'll post some pics later for those that didn't get to see the finished job or those who didn't or couldn't go. Awesome event altogether. Watching those 3 T700's fly at once was incredible!
