For sale is one Heli-Max MX450XS.
Airframe with 3 HS-65 Karbonite gear servos mounted.
Has the Heli-Max Red Anodized aluminum gyro mount fitted.
Several screws have been replaced with socket head cap screws from RTL fasteners.
One Electrifly Ammo 28-45-2700kV motor. Great condition. Flies the heli fine for cruising and light aerobatics. Definitely not a 3D motor.
This heli has been crashed once, which resulted in a bent mainshaft, feathering shaft and flybar.
After re-assembly, I hit a chair in the garage upon spool-up and broke MORE stuff.
So, this heli has not been flown since the last time I put it together. The following parts are new:
Mainshaft
Maingear
Feathering Shaft
Flybar, paddles and weights
Tailboom
Front battery mount plate
Skids
The reason I haven’t flown it again is that I could not get the blades to track. After much diagnosis, the verdict is a bent blade grip. There is a set of new blade grips in package included. I’m just too lazy to dis-assemble and install the new grips.
Spare parts:
Flybar cage – new, no package
Washout arm set, used but perfect shape.
Tail grips and pitch assembly – used but perfect shape.
One main gear. Used but it’s fine to re-use.
20 new heli-max ball ends.
One new in package swash-to-servo link set with ball ends
One spare mainshaft collar with setscrew
One spare set of tail blades(nicked slightly on tips but should be fine to use)
4 balls with screws
Two ball bearings for the tail drive countershaft.
Two blade grip links.
One package 2x14mm panhead screws
One package M3 nylock nuts
One frame half is SLIGHTLY bent. Ive included a picture of it, it’s not bad and I’ve flown it like this. Really doesn’t affect anything.
Canopy has one small crack in the lower rear left side. See pic.
Also included are an aluminum boom mount block set, and a tail drive countershaft block set. These have some screws broken off in them when I disassembled the heli before flying it. Perhaps someone can get the screws out of them. The tail boom blocks have one screw broken off inside the block out of 8 total, and the countershaft blocks have 3 broken off out of 8.
The aluminum boom mount brace has the pushrod guide hole cut off it. The hole was too small for the carbon rod I was using for the tail pushrod, and it was in the way so I cut it off. I don’t have any flexing issues with the tail pushrod, though you could put a trex pushrod guide on it if you wanted. The pushrod is a an align carbon pushrod.
No main rotor blades included.
12 total flights on the airframe and servos. Motor has 10 flights on it.
Selling this to raise funds for a 600 Nitro Pro.
Asking $290 shipped for it all.
