Hi all
I'm using the BC6 to charge my FP4900mah Lipo. Am about 13 flights in. When I first started charging it, charge times were around the 70min mark, putting back 3000. Now, charge times have doubled, and I'm putting in around the same amount................ I went through the settings on the charger and all seem fine, not cutoff or things like that. I have set all the safety ranges so I'm not going to blow the thing up.
Anyone had simillar experiences??
Cheers

The more out of balance the cells become the longer the charge times will be. My set of 4s packs are getting the same way. Try giving them a low current charge and let them balance real good and see if that helps (seemed to help mine a bit) Also don't be afraid to cut off the charge at 90%, just make sure you watch your flight time.

Doenst the BC6 have a QuickCharge and a FullCharge mode? I usually run QuickCharge (about 97%), FullCharge takes a good while longer for those last 3%.

Out of balance/Bad packs take longer to balance is the key. ;)
A full charge should take a bit longer than an hour but not that much.

Thanks for the input guys.
Gave it a good balance, and got the charge time down to around 90 minutes. Is that the average time it should take a 4900 FP 22.2V. Am putting back about 3200.
I will check out that fast charge. Will crack out the manual.

If I am not mistaken, the BC-6 has a max output of 50 watts. This would mean you could only charge your 6 cell 22.2 volt battery at about a 2.0 amp rate which would make the 90 minute charge time sound correct (2,000 milliamps per hour X 90 minutes = 3,000 mah's).

Thanks David.
Here I was thinking that my $370 battery was a dud! I will stick with the longer charge time, well until I get a better charger that is :)

yeah 2 amps explains a lot
Most people charge 1 which would be 4.9 amps
