Newbie here, if this has been already brought up, please point me to the thread.
I have a DN Power Charger and had a question on what charging rate to set my current batteries at. My options are:
2a and up to 2.0 a
These are the 3 batteries that I have:
3 cell, 2070, 25c
3 cell, 2200 , 25c
3 cell, 2150 , 20c
Thanks

Actually I think 2 amps is the max for that charger anyway, (haven't used mine for awhile) and if they're brand new packs it wouldn't hurt to charge at a lower rate during break-in, although opinions vary on that subject. I'll have to check with our resident battery guru (Kgfly) to see if there's any validity to that....

I've done some research and found this info.Let me know whether this is correct logic. Thanks !
You must select the charge rate current that does not exceed 1C (one time the capacity of the battery, unless otherwise noted). A higher setting may cause fire. This chart is calculated at 1x capacity of pack. Generally speaking, charging at even lower rates will extend battery life.
800 mAh: Charge at or below 800mA
1500 mAh: Charge at or below 1.5 Amps
6000 mAh: Charge at or below 6.0 Amps
That would mean for my batterys.
3 cell, 2070, 25c would be charged at 2.0 a
3 cell, 2200 , 25c " 2.2 a
3 cell, 2150 , 20c " 2.1 a

Looks like my info is correct, per " kgfly " on this forum stated in another thread.
By default you should never charge a lipo above 1C. For a 2200mAh battery that means no more than 2.2A charge current. You tell the charger either how many series cells (eg 3 for 3S) or the nominal pack voltage (eg 11.1V for 3s) and either the pack capacity (2200mAH) or the max charge current (2.2A) and away you go.

You got it! 2c would be 2x the mah (2200 @ 2c would be 4.4A).
I never charge above 1c. Supposedly on larger batteries you can.

I have recently noticed that it no longer beeps at all, either while changing the charge rate or when battery is fully charged. Anyone know whom can I contact in order to get assistance? It was purchased from another local flyer at my field awhile back.
There is no model number on it, but its the grey colored one as shown in bottom of thread.
Thanks,
Mike
