Why does the "gear" switch seem inactive? I have set the gyro to the gear channel on my DX7. When I go to the gear travel adjust menu and toggle the switch on the TX, the arrow will not move from the +100% to the -100%. And if I check the 401 gyro the solid red LED stays on (HH) requardless of switch position. In the gyro sens menu I have it set on auto with the rate set at 0=80%, and 1=20%. Thanks in advance for any help. LAC

The auto mode allows you to set two different gains, zero and one. On the right side, you can select which one of these two gains are automatically used for the different flight modes. A typical setup might be zero-80%, one-75%. Your flight modes might be zero, one, one. The idea is in normal mode where your head speed is lower, you need and can have more gain without tail wag. In idle1 and idle2, where your tail rotor speed is up and has more authority, your gain will need to be lower to keep from wagging. The gear channel is more or less just used for the end points which tell your gyro how fast to change the pitch for rudder input.

CompuFoil, thanks for the explanation. I'm new at this, and slowly beginning to understand things. LAC
