looking for some suggestions for a 6s 5000 capable plane. 3D would be cool as would a bi-plane. Open for any plane. I have a T-rex 450 which I use the 3s 2200 packs for my 3d Hobbyshop Extra and I now want a larger size plane to share my T-rex 6s 5000 pack with. Any suggestions? Thanks all.

I'm in the process of building a Ultra Stick 40 as a larger electric 'test bed'. setup will be as follows:

6s 5000mah lipos
HC5018-530 himax motor
14x7E apc prop
PH60 castle speed controller

i plan to make a battery hatch for it so I don't have to take the wing off to change the battery. status is all parts are bought...just waiting on some free time to start it.

Let me know how it goes. I may do something similar.

How about this one? They include all the stuff for electric set-up(mount, etc) in the box:

I'm an ex F3A Pattern flyer and I want to use my TP 6S 5000 more too. The biggist problem I've found is how to force such a big brick into the fuselage. With many scale aerobatic planes having mid-mounted wings, I'm having to be picky.
On the shortlist at the moment is a 55" Yak 54 ARF. Huge fuselage... it might just work.

How about this one? I've been mulling it over for some time and think a 6s setup might work. Plus, the STOL would fun to play with.

Here's mine, It's the very first airplane I ever built way back in 1976. Yes that's right, it's 31 years old and still flying. It first had a Fox 36 glow fuel engine' then back in the mid 80's I put an Enya .46 4 stoke and last year I put an AXI outrunner and power it with my TP 5000 Trex 600 packs. It has a 7 foot wingspan. I believe I used the same motor esc that Hobby-Lobby recommends for their 8 foot Senior Telemaster which might be a good plane for the same battery pack.

It's not 3d, but it sure looks the biz...

I fly a 6S electric plane which is a pattern style bird made by "Skyshark RC" called a "Fantasy". The electric conversion runs $ 369.95 and the plane is $ 169.95. They now have a Extra 330S that is Receiver ready. Just add your receiver and battery ( 6S ) , after you assemble the ARF. They can be reached on the net at www.skysharkrc.com. Check them out. I love the way the fantasy flys, no tip stalls and very IMAC pattern capable.

Ive got a balsa cougar 2000 and i parallel up my 2 trex 450 lipos ( kokam 2000 and kokam revo.2100) to make an 22.2v 6s 4100mah batt, and it flys great on that :) , for some pics check out my blog.

I just ordered one of the Angel S Evo 50. Looks like it will be awesome.

Also, 3Dhobbyshop.com has some really nice 3D planes that would be great on 6S. THey also have a bunch that would be great with your 450 packs...

Any plane under about the 7lb RTF mark would be good for these batteries. Also figure a 1500watt motor. That should put you a little bit over the 200watt/pound mark which would give you unlimited performance. My vote goes to the fliton inspire. I had a one and it was the best flying plane I have ever had. It will do it all. That plane with a power 60 brushless motor or equivilent would be perfect.
