View Full Version : "Gear switch" question on DX7
Why does the "gear" switch seem inactive? I have set the gear channel for the gyro. When in the gear travel adjust menu, the arrow will not move between +100% and -100% as the switch is toggled, and the red LED in the 401 gyro stays on reguardless of switch position. In the gyro sens menu, I have it set on auto with the rates set at 0=80% & 1=20%. Thanks in advance for advise, Lac :confused:

If you set up your 401 for "auto" mode in the Gyro Sense menu, it changes modes based on the setting of the flight mode switch. The Also, the 401 needs to be "booted up" in HH mode to allow switching between HH and rate modes. If it comes on in rate mode, you won't be able to switch it.
Thanks jeffk, I'm out of town right now, but when I return I'll follow your suggestions. I have only tried to fly in normal mode for now (newbie). LAC

If you have no luck using the Gear>Gyro setting, try Gear>Gear. Then use endpoints to set hh and rate modes. Just assign 0 and 1 Gear switch positions.
