Is this like a gyro but it uses light from the horizon to keep the heli level for photography? I saw IR mentioned so I assume it is using light.

Its a mixer that uses the FMA IR sensor to detect difference between the sky and ground. Or it could also be used for flybarless head mixer.
Mark Webber, a regular poster in teh AP section on this site, brings them in.

Thanks Mark :) I moved the small spektrum RX to the other side of the heli just to be safe. I wasn't have any control problems at all, but still. You know how it is in AP.
I'm still waiting on that X9303 to come in so I can make the most of my AP2000i.
Also, that new gyro is looking very interesting...
:D
