I'll wait until someone miniaturizes the control board. That's a big hunk of circuitry and wires spinning at 3k . Couldn't they eliminate the sensors if they just assumed a constant head spead? I think there was a PC interface mentioned. That could be used to adjust that parameter.

Yeah - it kicks some serious ass, but I'll wait for version 2. Seems to fragile right now - doesn't seem like it would hold on too well for any kind of acrobatics.

The sensor is very tiny and light weight so is not an issue.
headspeed is nowhere near constant enough to see anything other than a spinning blur without a sync system.
I'll bet that board could be a lot smaller. Maybe just a little bigger than a postage stamp.
I want one NOW:bawl
Assuming a constant headspeed wouldn't work. You'd need to be very accurate in your estimate. For example, if you were 1hz out (an accuracy of better than 1/20 percent at 2000rpm), the pattern would spin 1ce a second. If it spun much faster than that, it would be unrecognisable.

Got ya. I guess that was a little naive.

That page is invalid now. The regular http://www.nightgraphix.de/ works though. Another page I found: http://www.nightgraphix.de/index_de.html . It looks like the english page does not work yet.
I want a pair of these for my e600 yesterday!

Spartanrc.com has their version too. Which is more refined I think.

Hi, the following was posted on the Nightgrafix website regarding expected readyness of their blades:
Their English part of the website didnt seem to work yet but basicaly what they are saying is that the 600mm and 470mm blades will be ready for distribution by the end of November 2007. Those blades are currently being produced by a high profile german blade manufacturer. Other blades such as the 550mm's and 690mm's are under preparation and can be produced very quickly subject to demand.
I want some!!
