I've noticed on my Mini Titan that when I adjust tracking I am losing or gaining a few degrees of pitch....what's the best practice to avoid this? Not use the linkage from the grips to the blades? use th longer blades?
Is it better to gain or lose pitch when adjusting for tracking???

Interesting query!
The standard length of the connecting rods on the Mini-Titan (ie blade grips to mixing arms) should be 18mm centre to centre of ball end loop. This measurement should only be changed as a last resort.
First, check the tension of your rotor blades retaining bolts, you should have some free play to allow the rotor blades to hunt.
Second, After doing any adjustment that alters pitch, you may have to alter your swash pitch mix on your transmitter. (JR TX refers to it as CP6) (Futaba SWSH chP)
Third, Check your Pitch curve, as you may have to adjust this also.

If all else fails then change the length of the connecting rods.

Remember that not only does the blade grips to mixing arms linkage rods alter pitch, you may have to adjust the mixing arms linkage rods to swash plate.

But be prepared to go into your TX and alter most of your pitch settings to get zero degrees at half-stick.
:thumbup:Hope this helps.

"adjust the mixing arms linkage rods to swash plate" will make smaller moves than the adjustments to the blade grips.
If you have to make several moves to get the blades tracking you may need to check your pitch with a gauge.
Making sure that your using balanced blades and staying in the same brand should help keep the tracking pretty consistent when making blade changes.
