What is the best lipo monitor out there? I have been using a scotts monitor. It seems that I can run my lipo (1200mah) close to 3.50 per cell with the lights still green.

Hey,
That sound normal to me mate, you may know already that you must not discharge a LiPo cell below 3 volts. A 3s pack for instance (3x3 volts in a 3s pack) must not go down below 9 volts, and so with the light still on at 3.5volts per cell that is ok.
Also, after a flight when re-charging a quick check all is ok is to monitor how much goes back into the pack. Again a good rule with LiPo's is not to use more than 80% of the packs rated capacity.
As an example a 1000mah LiPo pack should recharge after a flight with no more than 800mah put back into it. Adjust for higher capacity packs as needed.

I use the one from Heliproz. About $24 bucks and it is fully programmable to whatever settings you want. It goes in steps, so sometimes it doesn't quite feel like it's in the right place, but it'll definately save your butt if you are flying without one!
I think Efliernz makes one as well. I've heard lots of good reviews about his, so PM him for prices/specs. You can also make one if that suits your fancy. Pretty easy if you know how to solder, but why bother? hehe...
