Neckstrap broke on my dx7, it fell, and the battery cover broke. OK, email Spektrum. 3 days later, no reply.. email again. 4 days letter, no reply! Finally decided to call. Waited 10 minutes on the phone, finally got a technician to answer me. What did he say?
"7.95 plus shipping for a new battery cover."
"Shipping should be about 7.95 also."

Sounds fair to me. Shipping is a little high. But sounds about the right price for the battery door.

It's always better to call them...I get great product support. They repaired my DX7 for free a couple of times and also paid the freight.A tech will always help you on the phone with any programming probs-so they get a :thumbup:from me.

Yep, i think the problem was that I'm using Yahoo emails and I guess a lot of sites block all yahoo emails.
But jeez... I still cant figure how they charge 8 bucks for that thing? That silver paint couldnt cost THAT much

My DX7 has been blowing fuses since I got it last November. Last week I went to replace the fuse yet again and the display stopped working. I sent it to Horizon for repair. They are replacing it with a new unit which just arrived a few minutes ago.
The bad news is that I missed a weekend of flying. The good news is that I sent them just the radio and they sent me a DX7 with all the trimmings!
I am VERY happy with their customer service.
I'm VERY happy with Horizon Hobby/Spectrum Radio support. Last fall I crashed a glo powered plane so hard it buried the engine totally. The AR7000 still worked even though the case broke open and was shattered. I downloaded their repair form, filled it out giving my credit card # and sent the radio in. I fully expected to be charged for the repair as the crash was my own doing. Last week the radio came back with new case, reinforced ant leads. No charge for labor or shipping.
It doesn't get better than that!
I don't think e-mail is the best option to use when you are trying to get good customer service. Most companies must be overwhelmed with the stuff these days. A phone call to a real live person, or just send it in seems more expediant.
