Hey guys!
Just thought I'd say hello. I'm a total newbie to the RC Heli scene as of this week. Tuesday I bought a Blade CX2 to start with. Wednesday I ordered the Boom Kit, Skids, Tail Fin, Extreme Canopy & Blades etc... from BoomTown. Man what service, I got it all today and already installed most of it.
I replaced a couple of sets of stock blades on my first five flights (Crashes) but no mishaps today after installing the new bling on flights #6 & 7. Starting to get the hang of at least keeping it in the air, although I get disoriented quickly.
Also picked up a T-Rex 450 SE V2 kit and a Real Flight Sim today. Figured I would take my time building the 450 while I'm learning on the CX2 and the Sim

Hey to you and all,
I am VERY new as well. Been lurking for a little bit and just registered this morning. Unfortunately I found this forum a little too late. I started with the CX and went to the CP pro (that has not been going well) but recently last 3 batteries I seem to be able to have some kind of a controlled hover it gets away sometimes but can usually bring it back.
Anyways, on the CX last night I added some bling metal parts, boom, heat sink, etc.... I have a minor wobble at low rpm but as I increase the wobble disappears, thought it might have something to do with the blades but the appear to be tracking okay. What else should I look for, or should I not worry about it since its so minor?
oh and yes, I will be getting a B400 just as soon as I can.

Here are a few pictures of the evolution of my CX2. You can probably tell I'm a Gator Fan. Although not a very happy one this morning.

Thanks Carlos!
Sorry I didn't reply sooner but I've been engrossed in the Trex for the last few weeks. Got a little down time as I busted my tail rotor blades, so I figured I'd check back in over here.
I moved my linkage out to the second servo hole on the CX2 and set up it up on the DX7. Much better. I guess I need to do a little work with the Flybar weights etc... to really get it dialed in.
Definately need to start flying the CX more so I can work on my orientation for flying the Trex. That's a whole different animal. Still scares the crap out of me every time I get it in the air:lol:

If you fly your CX2's with your DX7, there is no need to go to the 2nd hold on the servo horn. You just set up dual rates on the elevator and aileron channels. I have all mine set at 125% travel.
It goes from a tame indoor flyer to an aggressive machine with a flick of a couple of switches.
