Celebrity or not, I wouldn't just expect random people to give me money or let alone start a fund to get me from one event to another.

There are lots of people less fortunate that would love to attend some of our great events, maybe we should start a donation fund for them as well.

You know you could bring her to Bham for her birthday take out somewhere nice for lunch the next day, then for a drive in the country, then be like, "oh look a helicopter event, lets stop in real fast". Then whip your helicopter out of the trunk.

HF is paying for Bob's ticket, and when others payed for Bob to go somewhere it was THEIR idea, not his. He said no.

People in glass houses should not throw stones Mike. If you gave back more, maybe people would give you more?? :arggg::roll:

Anyway, looking forward to the event!! Yea Baby!!

There are many ways that we all contribute to the hobby and there are so many diverse ways to do so.

Mike. If you gave back more, maybe people would give you more??

Not sure what that means, but then again it's not about me.

I'm gonna be there. But I think the real question is who is NOT going. I suspect that unless it's raining or miserably cold and windy, the event should be as great as it was last year. Wasn't it 150+ pilots last year?

150 pilots nice, its mt first trip there so do they have a flight line like ircha?

Caleb Phillips
01-22-2008, 08:21 PM
If I remember correctly, there's six or seven flights spots for one pilot and one spotter. There's also about a 40 foot gap between the pilots and spectator that is well defined with a fence and ALL rules are strictly enforced. It's definately the safest event I've been to and very comfortable for the pilot to fly at as a result.

Don't forget "The Ditch"

B'ham is the best event of the year! Awesome flying, crashes galore, plenty of vendors and more fun than a barrel of monkeys!

David does an absolutely wonderful job with this event.

Does this need to be officially announced on the "other" site? I really would like to see as many folks there as possible.

This is gonna be a freak gathering. Don't worry, it's very well known. Doesn't matter anyway as I'm sure Mark would delete it out of spite.
