Ok everyone, I am getting into the mode to start planning and preparation for the Bham 2008 event. This will be our 14th Annual event since we moved it back to Bham area. The first two were in Tuscaloosa, so in reality this will be the 16th event.
Well was looking at the March 2008 calendar. The event has normally been the same weekend that Spring started, which was in the range of March 17th- 22nd. Well in 2008 Easter Sunday falls on Sunday March 23rd. That would have been the normal weekend for the event. But with Easter on that Sunday, probably not a good idea to have it that weekend.
So I am looking at either the weekend of March 7th-9th or the next weekend of March 14th-17th. The field is available either one. Just trying to get an idea of preferences. The event will definitely be one of the two weekends. No later or earlier.
Looking forward to seeing 150 plus of my friends in March.
Thanks
David

Amen to that! Still cold from last year! I vote second week as well. My kids are out of school the week before Easter. Too bad it can't be that weekend. At least we can stay late on Sunday.

David,
You may want to consider having the event on the 17th to the 19th due to Daylight Savings Time. If you hold it the week before we won't get any extra light since we won't set the clocks ahead until Sunday the 9th.

Cool I WILL BE THERE!
Going to buy the tickets in the next 30 days or so.... I think based on gas price speculation they will come down in price and in fact are! Hmmm Might wait until after the 1st based on this... I have done this kind of wait and price game before and saved $100 for a ticket like this......
What do you all "frequent flyers" think?

Bob,
Southwest flies into BHam. You might get a good price using them. Have not checked, but they use to have some good prices for tickets.
Also something else to consider. You might get a better price by flying in and out of Atlanta. Someone maybe could pick you up and carry you back. It is about 150 miles from Atlanta airport to Bham.
