View Full Version : Hurricane 200 - In Stock
The battery would make a difference. Even if I have 2 packs for my T-Rex 450 that I could use in the 500 or Hurricane, eventually these will get used up and I'll have to buy some new packs. So the running cost of the little heli would be far less.

I would imagine the huricane 200 will be easier to fly than my mini zoom and the mini zoom was pretty easy to fly. In fact I thought it was a little small and with the wind here, bought a blade cp pro to fly in my backyard instead of my trex 450. 300 dollars later and that POS blade is in the closet. Never flew as well as the minizoom did, not even close. I could do piros in my garage with the minizoom, I couldn't even do piros outside with the blade cp pro. I do agree that they missed the pricing mark on this thing. The mini zoom is 200 for the kit, Not sure why this one became so much more.
And from prior experience it won't be an ideal first bird.
I know it all comes down to "If you want it - you buy it" ... but this bird would attract a lot of people if it weren't this costly. I hope that readyheli will release a economical version of this bird soon.

k

i'll bet in a year or so the price will come down. i'd love to own one, it's just not high on my priority list right now. getting the H550 in the air, that's priority. but most likely come tax return time i'll have one. we can also hope that hdx will put out a similar sized machine, as i've heard good things about their 450v2.

The 200 continues to rock for us. I hear that people are selling out of them quickly.
You do have to take a different approach to it. Big ol clumsy hands like mine will need to be re-calibrated.
The links are thin and will break if abused. We have never had a link problem in the air.
I see the comments about the price but smaller doesn't mean cheaper. The 200 has everything that the bigger helis have. Those parts have to be machined just like anything else. Someone said they could put a Rex in the air for the same price. Of course you could. It uses the same parts but then you wouldn't have a 200 size helicopter that can do everything a 450 can do....but in a smaller space.
In case you haven't seen the videos, check it out. I hope to have new videos up soon.

This includes "knowns" and freestyle. Note how well it takes being bounced on the head at the end of the flight

Hello All. First post.
Rstacy,
You mentioned in your last post;
"It uses the same parts but then you wouldn't have a 200 size helicopter that can do everything a 450 can do....but in a smaller space."
Can anyone elaborate on which parts are similar or interchangeable?
Head, Tail, etc.
thanks
phil

None of them. My point was that for every link on the Rex, there is a corresponding link on the 200.
For every part on the Rex, the 200 has a part doing the same thing.
Going smaller doesn't mean cheaper. They have the same number pf parts.

Sorry for the miss understanding. That makes much more sense.
