Hi,

My BC6 Bantam charger takes forever to balance my FP 3s1p 2170 mAh packs. Same thing for my TrueRc 3s1p batteries.

Does someone have this problem? The time of charge goes from 50 to 90 minutes when I balance the pack during charging...

Thanks

Balance charging in general does take longer, but how long is based on how far out of balance the cells are from each other. If your pack is pretty balanced to start with and the length of time is increasing for a balance charge, start to note what cell the charger is trying to equalize. At some point in the future this will be your bad cell.

If you find this taking longer and longer, I suggest just terminating the charge when you see the cells close enough to each other near the end of the CV portion of the charge or use the FAST charge option where the cells will still be balanced but the pack will only be charged to 95% capacity.

Hello.

I'm also using a BC6 charger, and I balance every time. It is taking me about 80 minutes to peak a battery (charging at 1.7A) Charging a 2100mAh battery, I'm adding about 1550mAh.

I have a question about runtime if anyone has checked this out...

T-Rex 450 SE V2 Stock

I'm running 7.6 minutes (7m 40s) on a full pack (I run down to 9.9 Volts on my Lipo alarm)

I'm only hovering and moving around slightly. Does this sound right to you?

I'm using a 12T pinion, and about 85% throttle in the radio.

I determine that to be about 12.1 Amps on average.
Amps = 1550 x (60/7.6) x 0.001 = 12.1 Amps

does this sound like the correct value for current draw on a 450?
80% on a 2100 mAh battery should be 1680 so I should be safe I think.

Any Opinions?
