Here's a nice little kit. It's also an FPV design with retractable landing gear as an option. Takes a gas engine... :-)

Long ago I was seriously considering building one.

Believe it or not, it actually assembles just like a scale model airplane. Two fuselage halves glue together. And the top and bottom wing sections also glue together.

That is a kit built full scale.

Its called the Nemesis-NXT It was designed by the undefeated designer, builder and pilot of the reno air race team "nemesis". I believe is powered by a TIO-540 (turbocharged horizontally opposed fuel injected 540ci lycoming engine). Cruise is about 230kts. i think

Well, I guess I should have been a little more clear. I meant a RC kit, but knowing that it's a full scale kit is good to know for those that can afford it (and have the skill to fly it). :noteworthy

Yes, if re-created accurately, I'd buy that for an R/C plank.

I check the R/C pylon guys, a fellow in Texas named Ritch Tochi produced the sexiest Q-40 Nemisis out through 1997. A badass Neu motor and a 6s would get you around the 190mph mark. And for you go fast guys the electric f5d racers use 5 and 6s packs for the 200+mph pylon go fast turn left addicts.

The Sundowner kinda looks like that. Not as streamlined tho.

they make a smaller version too.
There was one in my LHS. I wanted to buy it just to hang it from my ceiling with no running gear :D

This is the one I like:

I actually own a plans set and right to build one. But I find it hard to start a 10+ year project. Although, if Ihad started it when I bought the plans, I would have been flying is for 15+ years. :)

I use to love watching the silver bullet fly at the local air show every year (silver bullet = Coors Light BD5J). Absolutely amazing to watch that little jet scream around like a little fighter.

Best of luck on getting her finished. (please say you are planning on turbine power!:YeaBaby:)

well guys... the BD-5 is no more.. I sold it a week ago, b/c i was tired of seeing it sit and not getting the attention it needed. Plus i got alot of bills paid off and a few new toys, like this twin turbine F-18 :)
